New Beginnings in 2023

What a year 2022 has been. Tripps - Somerset was launched in the Spring of 2022. We thought we would share some amazing memories that have led to the success of the business.
As soon as the business was launched we were asked to make candles for Bristol Rovers Football Club.
The first large show we did was at the North Somerset Showground where the country candles were showcased. At the time we only had a few different scents in our wax melt range on the stand. It began very apparent that more was needed as the wax melts were very popular.
The wax melts have become so popular that we decided to save people time and money by offering a wax melt subscription box. This has also led to supplying wax burners also.
Wholesale Suppliers
From attending the North Somerset Show we were lucky enough to meet the Director of the Flagship Boutique based in Portishead who asked us to stock their shop.

Bath and West Showground
This was the best and biggest show of the year. Not only did we meet fantastic customers but also we met some really great people that were also exhibiting.
Throughout the year, nearly every weekend has involved exhibiting at a stand whether that has been at a local craft fair in the Weston-super-mare area or further afield.
Another big event we attended was the Devon County Show. This is booked for us to return to the Exeter area in 2023.
In Summer we attended The Dairy Festival which was held on the seafront in Weston-super-mare by Puxton Park.
This was yet another great win for us as we now stock Puxton Park's Farmshop with a range of our coconut and rapeseed-based scented candles.
During the year, enquires started to come in and we now have a range of wholesale customers which has really assisted the business.
Many businesses have come to us that provide hampers for their customers and we are part of that hamper.
White label candles
We were also asked to make candles for businesses with their logos which has been fantastic and this seems to be growing.

Crystal Infused Candles
As the business took off and the creativity was embraced and went from strength to strength. We introduced candles with crystals. The crystal-infused candles are unique as not only is each candle hand-poured making each one unique but each crystal that is embedded makes the candle a perfect gift for those that love gifts that are special.
Christmas
Christmas was by far the busiest time and due to being a new business, it was underestimated how busy we would be and how much stock was needed.
Christmas events were a very steep learning curve as there were so many events to attend, wax melt gift boxes to make up, and running the daily tasks of the business meant we had fallen short on products. The candles, wax melts, and diffusers were selling so fast that it meant working every day to keep up with the demand.
This was by far the most stressful time due to postal strikes and we needed supplies to make the products and our suppliers were also experiencing delays.
A NEW BABY
As the year came to an end, the Tripps celebrated with a newborn baby. Beautiful baby Jacques was born on the 30th of December.
We expect he will be at future events.
