Tripps of Somerset uses a luxury wax which is non-gm wax blended from rapeseed and coconut. This wax is blended in Europe which makes the wax more sustainable.
WHY HAVE WE CHOSEN COCONUT AND RAPESEED AS OUR PREFERRED WAX?
Being the owner of Tripps Somerset I opted for rapeseed and coconut as a blended wax because it is more sustainable than any other wax on the market. The wax burns cleaner than other waxes. It's a much nicer wax to work with than others on the market too.
Although a bit tricky to master. I have been making candles since 2015 in Somerset.
I wanted customers will get a cleaner burn. This was important to me as a business as other waxes are made from paraffin for example which is derived from petroleum. I personally had spent vast amounts of money on candles as I am a candle lover. I found other candles left black marks on items nearby, especially on the white pvc window frames. I wanted to have a wax that burned much cleaner.
I also found many candles I had bought before also left a lot of black soot in the candle jar itself which I felt was very unsightly.
Knowing the importance of trimming my wick (This helps with a cleaner burn and makes your candle last longer) plus ensuring I followed candle safety care such as not leaving candles burning for more than 4 hours at a time and ensuring the candle was away from drafts I still was left with black candles and I wanted my candles to be different.

Living in Somerset, England, we are surrounded by Rapeseed fields which are in abundance. This photo below was taken in my sister's old back garden.
I love looking at rapeseed fields, it's like looking at rays of sunshine within fields that move with the countryside breezes.

NO ADDITIVES ADDED TO THE WAX
Our Rapeseed and coconut blended wax has no additives added. This means you may notice lines in the wax after use. This is due to no nasty chemicals added for appearances. It's normal for this to happen. I actually find the patterns quite interesting.
The wax can be prone to polymorphism/frosting. This is due to the product being natural and does not affect the use of the candle in any way.

The supplier manufactures under license by British Wax.

IS THE WAX VEGAN-FRIENDLY?
Yes, the wax is vegan as it's a vegetable wax. The wax is also cruelty-free also.

Yes, we took the decision to only work with this sustainable and eco-friendly luxury blend of wax. The wax melts are also made from a blend of coconut and rapeseed.
IS COCONUT AND RAPESEED WAX EXPENSIVE?
This wax is the most expensive, however, we made the decision that we only wanted the very best for our brand.
