This is Cheddar/Axbridge Reservoir. On a beautiful sunny day, you will find this spot with lots of people windsurfing or paddle boarding. This is one of my favourite places and it's only a few minutes away from where I live.

Family History

My family originates from a small village called Shipham in Somerset. Shipham is just up the road from Cheddar. It's a very quaint village. I lived in Shipham until the age of 2, when my mother and father moved to Cheddar.
Terry Pratchett is also known to have lived with the parish of Shipham.
My family tree dates back to 1400 in that area.

Somerset is famous for Cheddar Caves. Somerset has lots of tourist attractions. People love to visit the various caves and also see the witch at Wookey Hole Caves. I myself grew up in Cheddar, not far at all from Cheddar Gorge. I lived in Cheddar until I was 18 then I moved to a nearby village.
I love living in Somerset. It has a mix of farming life, combined with rural villages and also present-day architecture.
My family moved from Cheddar to a place in Cross, near Axbridge. This lead them to feature in a tv series called Paranormal 5 and they had featured in the local newspapers from time to time.

Is Somerset Posh?

Somerset has many independent schools and beautiful stately homes. During the covid lockdown, many City dwellers relocated to Somerset. Somerset has become a home for many famous people also.
Johnny Deep, the face of Prada is said to be living near Taunton in Somerset. I'm a huge fan of Johnny Deep, since his Edward scissor hands film. I would be very happy to meet him.
Another favourite Actor of mine that lives in Somerset is Nicholas Cage. I've watched his film Face Off so many times. It's brilliant.
